Research

Designing for lean-back gamers.

I interviewed active PS5 streamers and audited the console's Media section. Players consistently wanted a low-interaction, TV-like option that didn't break the PlayStation feel.

Ideation

Flows that fit inside the console.

I sketched multiple entry-point concepts and wireframed Free TV layouts, balancing content visibility, navigation, PlayStation consistency and Pluto TV brand identity — refined with design leadership, PM and engineering.

UI Design

Two design systems, one console-native feel.

I adapted Pluto TV components — navigation, content cards, playback — to PlayStation interaction patterns, working directly with Sony's design and product teams on motion, input model and visual rhythm.

A new surface for free streaming on console.

Launching Pluto TV natively inside the PS5 ecosystem drove a 15% lift in adoption and engagement among console streamers — proof that brand-authentic and platform-native can coexist.
